Day 6 Made it to 14,000!

The troops are well!
TZT2 reached 14,000' camp today which is a day ahead of the planned schedule.  Yesterday, Chris, Rob and Joe retrieved the lower cache, and the balance of the group made a cache up at windy corner.  Tomorrow, part of the group that is feeling strongest will go back and retrieve the cache.

The weather is HOT.  Apparently they are having late summer weather. They got a temperature reading at one point today of 70 degrees.  A storm was coming in and it was cloudy and foggy with snow starting when the update call came in, so we lost connection too many times to get further details.

Everyone is well.  Next up is a little rest at 14 camp and starting to watch the weather up higher.  Start sending your good weather vibes their way!
Here is the original itinerary:
Day  6 6/4  Camp 2 to Cache 13,500' (1.75 miles/2500')
Day 7 6/5  Camp 2 to Camp 3 14,000' (2.75 miles/3200')
  8 6/6  Camp 3 to Cache 13,500'
  9 6/7  Camp 3 acclimatization day
  10 6/8  Camp 3 to Cache 16,000' (1 mile/2000')
  11 6/9  Camp 3 acclimatization day
  12   6/10  Camp 3 to Cache to Camp 4 17,200' (1.75 miles/3000')

Hi Guys,
It was great to hear this morning that the troops are well and at 14,000'! I heard you might be about to have a little weather--I hope it doesn't slow you down too much. It is really fun to follow your progress--I'm cheering you on every day!
