Day 8 on Denali

Today the team climbed down to 13,000' to retrieve the cache that they had  left there a few days ago.   Returned to 14'000' camp to rest and relax for the balance of the day. They are watching avalanches in the mountains around them, and enjoying the stunning views of Hunter and Foraker to the south and west of camp.  It was a bit cloudy today, but warm.  They report the temperature dropped to -12 last night.  Tomorrow they plan to carry gear up to 16,000', descending back to 14,000' camp to sleep.     Shout out from Kenny to Melodee: "Thanks for the message, and I hope the purchase of the townhouse is coming together."

I'm glad to hear you are all at 14,000--I've heard it's a good placle to rest! It's cloudy and warm here,too--but in Oklahoma,that means 90 degrees with a chance of tornadoes.So what else is new? Have a great day!

Hi William Been following your progress every day and hope the rest of your climb is as good as it been so far. Planting the tomatoes and pepper plants Carl gave me. Went to a winery called Jewell Towne Vineyards in South Hampton NH and did some wine tasting. Stoney might know the place since he lives in NH. More the next time.

Sending you my super powers!!! I cached them for you at the base of Denali pass :) It was fun getting to wake you all up as I passed your camp at 7,800!!! I'm sure you were too excited to sleep anyway. Go get the bastatrd!!!!
